Voter Registration Information

The Voter Registration Form (Formulario de registro de votantes del estado de Nueva York) is available on the New York State Board of Elections website.

Once the completed form is delivered to the Westchester County Board of Elections, you will be registered with the county as well as the school district. Residents may also register for the Annual Board Election & Budget Vote at the District Office:

  • September – June school days between the hours of 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • July, August and school district breaks between the hours of 9:00am – 1:00pm

The deadline for registration at the District Office is five days prior to the date of the vote.

* Registering at the District Office does not register an individual with the Westchester County Board of Elections.

To be eligible to vote at the Annual Budget Vote and Board Election, you must be:

  1. A citizen of the United States;
  2. At least 18 years of age (by the date of the vote);
  3. A Pleasantville UFSD resident at least 30 days immediately prior to the day of the vote; and
  4. Registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections OR registered no later than five days prior to the vote with the school district.

* If you have previously registered and voted in either a school district or general election in the last four calendar years, re-registration is NOT required.

  • If you are registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections and have changed your NAME since you last voted or registered, you may vote without re-registering. You will be asked to sign your name as it appears in the poll roster and then sign your new name directly above. You will also be asked to complete the Voter Registration Form with the new information for the Westchester County Board of Elections.

  • If you are registered with the Westchester County Board of Elections and have MOVED within the Pleasantville School District boundaries since you last voted or registered, you can vote without re-registering. You will be asked to write your new address in the poll roster above the old address and complete the Voter Registration Form with the new information for the Westchester County Board of Election.

  • If your name is NOT included in the Westchester County Board of Elections poll roster for Pleasantville UFSD and you believe that you are registered to vote/feel this is in error, you will be asked to vote by Affidavit Ballot. An Affidavit Ballot requires the completion of an Affidavit (sworn statement) that must be signed by the voter and notarized. You then will vote using a paper ballot, which is placed in an envelope that is deposited in a separate ballot box. Affidavit Ballots are not opened until the Westchester County Board of Elections reviews the registration status of each individual and determines that the voter is eligible to vote in this election.

  • Only the Westchester County Board of Elections can remove a name from a poll roster. A Deceased Notification Form (English / Spanish) should be completed by a relative of the deceased and mailed to:
